Central Registration Department
Parents may register their children for kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year in the Douglas County School System.
Parents/guardians may register students who will be in grades K-12 AND who will be new to the school system, for the upcoming year.

We strive to make the registration process as easy as possible for all families in Douglas County.

Special Instructions for Virtual Registration Due to COVID19
Until further notice, the registration process will include the uploading of documents needed for registration since our center is closed to the public. Accepted documents include: .pdf, .docx, and .doc files. DO NOT UPLOAD PHOTOS (.jpg files). Registration staff will notify you if there is any problem with your online registration and/or documents. Please keep in mind that registration will not be completed until the documents have been uploaded. The DCSS reserves the right to request original documents at any time. Please make sure that after you submit your online registration, check your email to make sure that your application was submitted to us. If you do not receive a confirmation email that means that your application has not been submitted yet, and our staff will not be able to see the application.
Families that are unable to obtain the required immunization (Form 3231) and/or Vision, Hearing, Dental & BMI (Form 3300) screening documents due to the COVID19 situation will be given additional time to obtain those documents but they should begin the registration process as soon as possible. Documents should be submitted to the school as soon as the system opens to the public.

From the intersection of Bill Arp Road / Highway 5 and I-20 proceed south on Bill Arp Road / Highway 5 for 5 miles.
The Murray Educational Center will be located on your right. Turn right into the driveway immediately pass the building.
School Attendance Areas
Students must attend the school located in the school attendance area in which they live. Call Transportation at (770) 651-2400 if you have questions locating your attendance area school. The Douglas County School System is your source for identifying schools within designated attendance areas.
Student Registration
All students entering the Douglas County School System for the first time or returning to Douglas County from another school district MUST register at Central Registration located at 4841 Bill Arp Road(Hwy 5), Douglasville, GA 30135. Parents of student(s) transferring from one Douglas County School to another school in the district should register their student(s) at the appropriate school within their attendance area. The school District, in its enrollment procedures, requirements and process does not and will not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, religion, or immigration status.
Documents that will be requested when enrolling students:
Certified copy of the student's Birth Certificate
State required Immunization Georgia Form 3231 (marked complete for school attendance)
State required Vision, Hearing, Dental & Nutrition (BMI) Georgia Form 3300
Forms must be completed within one calendar year prior to enrollment for the 1st time entering a GA public school.Student's Social Security Card or Waiver
Parent/Proof of Identification
Custody/Guardianship Paperwork (if applicable)
Withdrawal Form from the previous school (if applicable)
Last Report Card (if applicable)
Discipline History for Middle and High School Students
Student's Transcript for all High School Students
Proof of Residency
The following items are accepted as proof of residency:
If you rent: Current lease agreement AND current utility bill or connection receipt. Utility bill must be no more than 30 days old, and not indicate disconnection or pending disconnection. Both the lease agreement and utility bill in the parent/legal guardian's name.
If you own: Current mortgage statement or tax bill AND current utility or connection receipt. Utility bill must be no more than 30 days old, and not indicate disconnection or pending disconnection. Both documents in the parent/legal guardian's name.
If you live with another family: Multi-Family Residence Form must be signed by the homeowner or lessee and the enrolling parent/legal guardian. Both signatures MUST be notarized individually. You will need to provide the Multi-Residence Form AND current lease or mortgage AND current utility bill or connection receipt of the homeowner or lessee.
